TeluguabroadTDP & TRS Bonhomie in Ranga Reddy
They were allies during 2009 polls only for a period of 3-4 months and there was enmity before then and after 2009 elections, the less said the better. We are talking about the two leading parties in Telangana, the Telugu Desam Party and the TRS.
TDP’s decimation was scripted by TRS in Telangana area and this was visible in the recently concluded 2014 assembly elections. Most of this happened due to the TDP cadre defection to TRS in this region.
But now something unusual has occurred. These paries have come together and worked together with a formula to wrest Ranga Reddy Zilla Parishad. Initially TDP planned for a tie up with Congress which didn’t work out.
It is heard that the TDP and TRS have struck a deal as a result of which TDP supported TRS candidate Sunitha Mahender Reddy as ZP Chairman while TDP candidate Prabhakar Reddy was elected as Vice Chairman of Ranga Reddy ZP. So even in this district Congress is out!
