Tainted mining baron and former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy is reportedly spending a fortune for his daughter Brahmani’s wedding. Reports are emerging that he is splurging nothing less Rs 200 crore.
Last month, the family of the former minister has performed the engagement ceremony in a grand manner. On the eve, his daughter was seen completely covered with gold ornaments and looked like as if she was coming straight out from the sets of a historical film. The minor baron was heavily criticized for allegedly spending public money, which he is alleged to have stashed through illegal mining.
Undeterred by the criticism, Reddy is gearing up to organize the wedding activities in a never before heard manner. The amount to be spent for the wedding can be gauged from the video wedding invitation that has become the talk of the country ever since it was unveiled. A Delhi designer has reportedly been roped in to design the invite, which cost Rs 6,000. With such amount spent for each invitation, it is no wonder that he will be splurging Rs 200 crore on wedding, which will take place on 16th November in a Bangalore Palace.
A 11-day wedding event has been planned with special dance shows by leading Bollywood and south celebs on each day. Special designers have been brought in from Mumbai to design the clothes for bride and groom and also to design separate sets for each day. Special trains and buses have been booked from various places to Bangalore so that VVIPs and VIPs can attend the event without breaking a sweat.
Indians are known for spending lakhs and crores, based on their capacity on weddings. But, the wedding of Gali’s daughter will be registered in history with these kinds of preparations.
