Myles Gerard Gaskin (born February 15, 1997) is an American professional football running back currently signed to the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. He played college football for the Washington Huskies from 2015 to 2018 and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round, 234th overall, of the 2019 NFL Draft. Gaskin has appeared in games with the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, and Seattle Seahawks throughout his NFL career.
Early Life and Background
Myles Gaskin was raised in Lynnwood, Washington, a suburb north of Seattle. He attended the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club where his athleticism playing basketball was noted by coaches who saw his potential for other sports. Gaskin attended O’Dea High School in Seattle, Washington, where he emerged as a standout football player.
During his junior year at O’Dea High School, Gaskin rushed for 2,182 yards and 35 touchdowns. As a senior, he recorded 1,567 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns. Beyond football, Myles competed in track and field, participating in the 100-meter dash and the 4-by-100-meter relay. His exceptional high school performance led him to commit to play college football at the University of Washington.
Path to Professional Football
Gaskin arrived at the University of Washington in 2015 and immediately made an impact as a true freshman. He became Washington’s starting running back and became the first true freshman in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards, finishing with 1,302 yards on 227 carries. He also set a freshman record with 14 rushing touchdowns. His performance earned him MVP honors in the 2015 Heart of Dallas Bowl, where he rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns in a victory over Southern Miss.
During his sophomore season, Gaskin played in all 14 games and accumulated 1,373 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Pac-12 Conference honors. College Career (2015–2018)
Gaskin finished his Washington career as the school record holder with 62 touchdowns and ranked third in Pac-12 history behind Royce Freeman. He accumulated 5,323 rushing yards, placing him third in Washington history behind Freeman and Charles White. Gaskin holds numerous Washington records including most 100-rushing-yard games (26), most rush attempts (945), highest rushing yards per game (102.4), most rushing touchdowns (57), most rushes of 50-plus yards (10), and most all-purpose yards (5,878).

Professional Career
Gaskin entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2019. In Week 16 of his rookie season, he scored his first career touchdown on a two-yard run during a 38-35 overtime victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. He was placed on injured reserve on December 24, 2019, after appearing in seven games with 133 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown to go along with seven receptions for 51 receiving yards.
Miami Dolphins Era (2019–2022)
In 2020, Gaskin began the season as a backup before earning his first career start in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he recorded a career-best 95 yards from scrimmage. He was placed on injured reserve with a sprained MCL on November 5, 2020, and later placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list before being activated in late December. Minnesota Vikings (First Stint, 2023)
On August 30, 2023, Gaskin signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He was released on September 8, re-signed to the practice squad the following day, and elevated to the active roster. After another brief release and practice squad stint, he was signed back to the active roster on September 12 and appeared on special teams in their Week 2 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was released again on September 26 and returned to the practice squad.
Los Angeles Rams (2023)
On October 17, 2023, Gaskin was signed off the Vikings practice squad to the Los Angeles Rams active roster. He appeared on special teams during their Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys on October 29 before being waived by the Rams on November 7.
Minnesota Vikings (Second Stint, 2023–2024)
Gaskin re-signed with the Vikings practice squad on November 14, 2023, and appeared on special teams during their Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on December 16. He signed a reserve/futures contract with the Vikings on January 9, 2024. During the 2023 season, Gaskin appeared in three games with a total of 10 snaps played, all on special teams. In August 2024, he was waived by the Vikings and re-signed to the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster on September 18. He was released on December 3 and re-signed to the practice squad.
Jacksonville Jaguars (2024)
On December 10, 2024, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Gaskin to their practice squad. He did not appear in any regular season games during his tenure with Jacksonville.
Baltimore Ravens (2025)
On August 10, 2025, Gaskin signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He was released on August 26 as part of final roster cuts before the regular season began.
Seattle Seahawks (2025)
