Matthew David Duchene is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre currently playing for the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League (NHL). Matthew Duchene was born on January 16, 1991, in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada. He began playing minor hockey with the Central Ontario Wolves of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association and later played for his hometown Haliburton Huskies before advancing to AAA hockey.
