Jurickson Profar Bio
Jurickson Barthelomeus Profar (born February 20, 1993) is a Curaçaoan professional baseball outfielder for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He has previously played in MLB for the Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, and Colorado Rockies and has represented the Netherlands in international competition.
Early Life and Background
Jurickson Barthelomeus Profar was born in Willemstad, Curaçao, and played organized baseball from a young age. He helped the Pabao Little League team from Willemstad reach the Little League World Series championship game in 2004 and returned with the team to the World Series in 2005.
Profar drew international attention as a teenager and signed with the Texas Rangers as an international free agent in July 2009 when he was 16.
