Modi to Return Money to Chandrababu Naidu
Well looking at the title this may look like a different signal but however, the state of Andhra Pradesh will be getting some additional funds, which can help it tide over the current crisis of fund deficit and other issues.
The simple fact is that since Polavaram project has been announced as a nationwide project, the central govt will be earing the cost of 90 percent for this project while Andhra Pradesh should shell out rest 10%.
Till now the govt of AP has invested near to Rs. 5000 crores on this project and hence the state has now requested for the centre to return the funds back and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly lobbied hard for it. Now, there are reports that the Centre has agreed to return this money to AP which is definitely good news for the state which is facing huge revenue deficit. While the Telangana state and the TRS party has been objecting the Polavaram project, it looks like this is going to become a reality soon.
