India’s Ruhi Singh is miss universal peace & humanity
Ruhi Singh has made the country proud by winning the first ever Miss Universal Peace and Humanity title held in Lebanon. Ruhi, who represented India at Miss Universal Peace and Humanity, won the crown amongst 145 other countries. She looked gorgeous in a Komal Sood gown. Ruhi Singh is the first person to win this title from India.
Speaking about her win she said, “I am ecstatic. This still seems like a dream to me. I am waiting to reach India and share this joy with my loved ones. I am grateful to the entire team of Miss India Organization for giving me this opportunity to make my country proud and also I own my victory to the experts who helped me groom and train for this pageant.” Not only did Ruhi Singh won the coveted title of Miss Universal Peace & Humanity but also was gratified with USD 50,000.
Behind her victory, went a lot of preparation. A team of panelists and experts from the Industry contributed towards her prep with names like Ritu Kumar, Dr. Jamuna Pai, Komal Sood, Eshaa Amiin, Leon, Samir Purohit & Namrata Purohit, Marvie Ann Beck and many more.
The Miss Universal Peace & Humanity 2014 has been conceptualized by the World Peace Mission Organization under the patronage of the International Human Rights Commission as a prestigious international event, bringing together representatives of a wide range of communities and cultures from all around the globe. The purpose of founding this meaningful international grand beauty pageant with the theme “BEAUTY SPEAKS FOR PEACE” is to call out for peace, to embrace peace, to preserve peace.
Miss Universal Peace & Humanity 2014 Pageant promotes, inspires, and empowers all women to develop and utilize their strengths and inner qualities to positively impact all people throughout the world. The pageant’s principal objective is to identify and showcase the world’s best tourism cause and ambassadors for peace.
Ruhi Singh was Femina Miss India East first runner-up in 2011 and also a Miss India 2012 finalist. Ruhi has yet another feather on her cap as she has recently bagged a movie role in a Bollywood film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
