Diwali Special kaju katli recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups powdered cashew nuts
- 1 cup sugar (Mild sweetness)
- 1 cup milk powder
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 cup water
- 20 leaves silver varak
Method:
- Heat a bowl or pan. When hot, add the powdered sugar and milk powder.
- Blend or stir constantly for 2-3 minutes till the sugar and milk powder are warm.
- Spill the cashew powder in a blending vessel.
- When the sugar and milk powder are mixed well, add them to the cashew powder in the blending vessel.
- Include the cardamom powder and blend every one of them well.
- Begin manipulating by including a little water at once.
- Manipulate till it structures a mixture and the cashew begins releasing oil.
- Oil hands and rolling pin for easier rolling.
- Reveal the mixture to the craved thickness on to a wax paper to avoid sticking.
- Cut the rolled out mixture into required shapes (generally cut into diamond shapes).
- Permit to set at room temperature for 1-2 hours or in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Decorate By covering the whole sheet of katli with silver varak then place spread paper on top and move the rolling pin over the butter paper to give the varak a smooth finish.
