Chicken Tikka with Oats Recipe
Ingredients:
500g Boneless chicken cut into square pieces
1 green chilli, seeded and finely chopped
1 onion,sliced and separated into squares
Fresh coriander
60g Pepper Masala oats
Spice blend for Marinade
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 Packet Saffola Masala Oats Curry & Pepper
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
150ml low fat yogurt/curd
1 tbsp Saffola oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
Method:
- Wash the chicken pieces and keep aside
- Take a large bowl, mix all ingredients of marinade and make a thick paste
- Add all chicken pieces in the marinade and coat them nicely
- Cover with a cling film and keep it refrigerated for minimum one hour to soak in the flavours. After an hour bring out the chicken
- Spread masala oats on a platter, coat the marinated chicken pieces with these oats and thread them on skewers alternating with onion slices
- Now preheat your oven to and switch the knob to grill setting and set the temperature at 210 C
- Place these skewers on wire mesh placed in middle rack space , do not forget to place drip tray in bottom. It will not spoil the cavity of your oven and helps in easy maintenance
- Chicken pieces start to turn golden brown in 10 minutes and let them grill 3 more minutes before switching off oven
- Serve hot with green chutney
