He played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Florida State Seminoles. Lovett entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent signing with the Kansas City Chiefs after the 2024 NFL Draft. His professional career has included stints with the Chiefs and New England Patriots before joining the Orlando Storm in 2026.

He attended Olive Branch High School in his hometown, where he developed as a defensive line prospect during his high school career. In his junior season at Olive Branch, Lovett recorded 86 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and one sack, demonstrating his ability to disrupt opposing offenses.
