Jorge Luis Pacheco Polanco (born July 5, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder and designated hitter for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). Polanco made his MLB debut in 2014 with the Minnesota Twins and was selected as an MLB All-Star in 2019.
Early Life and Background
Jorge Luis Pacheco Polanco grew up in the Dominican Republic and signed with the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent in 2009. He signed at the home of his grandparents, Maximo Polanco and Melida Pegero; Maximo helped raise him and taught him to swim.

Early in the 2026 season he was placed on the injured list on April 18, 2026, with a right wrist contusion and later transferred to the 60-day injured list on June 15 after experiencing soreness during rehabilitation with Triple-A Syracuse.
