Austin Kyle Nola (born December 28, 1989) is an American former professional baseball catcher and current bullpen coach for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball. Austin Kyle Nola was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up in a baseball household: his father owned a remodeling and construction company and coached youth teams, and his mother worked as a part-time secretary. His younger brother, Aaron Nola, would go on to a pitching career in Major League Baseball.
Nola attended Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, where he started on the varsity baseball team as a freshman and compiled standout offensive numbers through his high school career.
