Fredderick Edmund VanVleet Sr. (born February 25, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is also the current president of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). A point guard known for his tenacious defense and three-point shooting, VanVleet played college basketball for Wichita State University before beginning his professional career. After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft, he signed with the Toronto Raptors and became a key figure in their organization, helping the team win its first NBA championship in 2019.
